About Us
Our Mission Statement
Greater Zion Church of God in Christ is a Bible-believing, soul-saving station dedicated to sharing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to our membership, the community and the world. To be a refuge for the wounded and downtrodden, spiritual hospital for the sick and we are the living epostles committed to righteousness and holiness through the study of the word of god.
We are a community-based organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, exciting community-building events, and training sessions for our volunteers. To be in our congregation is being with family.
The Church of God in Christ holds to orthodox Christian doctrines concerning the Bible as God’s infallible Word (Psalm 119:89), the Trinity (Matthew 28:19), original sin (Romans 3:9–20), the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as God’s plan for salvation (Mark 8:31–33; John 2:19), and personal salvation by faith in Christ alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
Our Beliefs Concerning the Bible
We believe the bible to be the inspired & only infallible written word of god.
Our Beliefs Concerning God
We believe that there is ONE god, externally existent in three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
Our Beliefs Concerning the Church
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church of god, which is in Christ, at His return.
Our Beliefs Concerning Sin
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and accepting the gospel according to Romans 10:9-10.
Our Beliefs Concerning Salvation
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
Our Beliefs Concerning Christ
We believe that the redemptive work of jesus on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
Our Beliefs Concerning the Holy Ghost
We that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
Our Beliefs Concerning Sanctification
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. Amen.
